Critical Care Registered Nurse
Libby White
Libby is a Critical Care Registered Nurse who has recently returned from Vanuatu where she was working as an Emergency Nurse Educator at Vila Central Hospital (VCH). This was a six-month position with the Australian Volunteers Program and with guidance from ACEM, Libby was supporting the staff at VCH to implement a triage system.
Prior to this Libby worked with the Emergency Medicine Association of Tanzania (EMAT) at Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania as Clinical Nurse Mentor. This position supported the growth of emergency nursing, which is a relatively new specialty in Tanzania.
Libby loves working in developing countries and enjoys exchanging knowledge with her nursing colleagues. After studying nursing in New Zealand, working for several years in England and then taking up emergency nursing in Australia, she is about to begin a position at Alfred Health as a Clinical Support Nurse. Libby is passionate about clinical emergency nursing and enjoys working in dynamic environments with dedicated nurses and the healthcare team.
