Emergency Physician
Dr Jennifer Jamieson
Dr Jennifer Jamieson is an emergency physician and trauma consultant with a passion for global health and emergency medicine. She currently works as a FACEM at the Royal Hobart Hospital and helps oversee the trauma portfolio for the emergency department. She undertook her specialty training at the Alfred Hospital, then split her time working as a trauma consultant at Alfred Health and an emergency physician at Monash Health.
She has previously worked with Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) in Northern Afghanistan at the Kunduz Trauma Centre hospital. In 2015, she also undertook a medical education role the emergency department of Muhimbili National Hospital, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
She holds a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine, as well as a Masters in Clinical Medicine (Trauma).
Outside of medicine and global emergency care, she spends time running the Hobart trails and chasing after two little kids plus a golden retriever.
