Dr Binula Wickramarachchi

Dr. Binula Wickramarachchi is an Emergency Advanced Trainee and Education Fellow at the Alfred Emergency & Trauma Centre. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Auckland in 2011, prior to making the move across the Tasman for his emergency specialist training. His clinical experience includes emergency, critical care and retrieval medicine in various sites across Melbourne and Darwin, and has recently completed his fellowship examinations for the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).

Binula has cultivated his passion for education throughout his career, completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education with distinction from the University of Auckland. He is currently an assistant course tutor for the Emergency Medicine Theory & Practice unit for Monash University, and is an active member of the Alfred Emergency Education team.

Binula is an enthusiastic proponent of point of care ultrasound, and holds a CCPU for Basic Echocardiography in Life Support. He is also currently pursuing a Diploma of Pre-hospital & Retrieval Medicine via ACEM.
