Rural Generalist

Australian-trained Rural Generalist (FACRRM with Advanced Specialised Training in Emergency Medicine) and Fellow of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (FACTM), working in Disaster and Humanitarian Medicine, currently with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Libya.
Previous experience in Sierra Leone with the International Federation of the Red Cross during the 2014-2015 Ebola outbreak, with Médecins Sans Frontières in Lebanon, South Sudan, Syria, Iraq and Ukraine, ICRC in South Sudan, and in a wide variety of regional and remote Australian settings.
Interested in the optimal delivery of medical care to populations affected by conflict, and in the intersection between and common drivers of conflict and the climate emergency, and their relationship(s) to migration and the oceans.
Trying to learn Arabic and mostly failing.
