This Resuscitation Update is presented by Alfred Emergency Education in collaboration with The Royal Women’s Hospital @ Sandringham.

The Update is designed for pre-hospital and emergency clinicians (paramedics, nurses and doctors), and will focus on the essentials of clinical and non-clinical care of maternity and gynaecological emergencies.

This event is specifically targeted to assist clinicians who – like our staff at The Alfred – are not often exposed to maternity and gynaecological emergencies. It will assist you to enhance your knowledge and develop your skills and confidence in caring for this complex and often sensitive patient group.

Topics include:

  • Grief and trauma in maternity and gynaecological emergencies
  • Common gynaecological and early pregnancy conditions ‚Äď how to prioritise and protect the life of the mother and baby
  • The A-B-C’s; the current evidence regarding care for the mother and baby

The keynote speaker for the event is Keren Ludski, CEO РRed Nose Australia , who will share her professional and personal experiences during the symposium.

This program is accredited by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.

Registration is for live participation in all three webinar sessions. In addition, a complimentary copy of the video recording will be sent to delegates post event.

Please note, when you register, you will be agreeing to the following:

  • In very rare cases, due to clinical demand or other unforeseen, unavoidable reasons, courses may need to be cancelled. In this instance registrants will be advised urgently and will receive a full refund for registration fees.

Substitution: If, after booking an event you are unable to attend, you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place. Please advise substitutions via email so a correct name tag will be available at the registration desk. CPD hours will be allocated to the substitute delegate.

Refunds: 
Cancellation more than 30 days before the event: 70% refund. Cancellation less than 30 days: no refund. Cancellation must be in writing.
